11/27/2023 0 Comments Camilla bowles young![]() I personally do believe that they loved one another already back then, because of the hours and hours spend on the phone (someone here said they were just bored, but definitely not Charles - the royals have so many engagements they need to attend or speeches to write, they’re practically always busy.).įor why they didn’t get to marry back then? While it is true that the royal family wanted someone young, virgin and malleable it is also true that Charles didn’t have the guts to stand up to them back then. The facts are that Charles & Camilla did meet in 1970 at a polo match and were more or less together ever since. Hey, please be aware that most of the people here (in general, on this sub and also under your post) are very biased towards Diana Can't have a princess (or a wife for your son) who's in love with someone else. And they knew that she was in love with someone else. They knew from the get-go that Camilla would not be commanded in anything. That's what they thought they were getting with Diana but they treated her like crap and she grew up to be able to stand up for herself. The royal family wanted someone biddable and submissive. Other than going to formal events and such a few times a year, there's not much responsibility for lower royals other than that. Camilla's family was normal rich-people stuff. There are different levels of royalty and the crown is the most limiting. But not enough for her to sacrifice having a normal life in order to be with him. Andrew was already messing around with Anne, so Camilla decided that she'd sleep with Charles and there turned out to be a connection between them. She was obsessed with Andrew, but Andrew wasn't necessarily obsessed with her so she tried to make him jealous by playing the field and finding someone higher up. She wouldn't have had control over anything in her life. Camilla was very aware of what she'd be signing up for if she decided to be with Charles. Look at all the crap that Diana had to deal with.
